Amanda entered the field of appraisal at the recommendation of her mother(who is also an appraiser for Creekside, see RobertaMalone)in 1997. In her first year,she completed over 300 appraisals. Shortly after getting her appraisal trainee's certificate, Amanda decided that adding real estate sales to her portfolio would be beneficial.Amanda hasmany years of experience in sales, and leverages that experience in real estate. The next year, while still doing appraisal full-time,she acted as the buyer's agent in multiple real-estate transactions. "Having been in sales myself, I understand both points-of-view in real estate transactions, and what it takes to forge an agreement." Today, Amanda is a North Carolina State-Certified Residential Appraiser, and the Managing Appraiser at Creekside. It has been said that very few people enjoy what they do for an occupation,"Iam very fortunate in that Iam able to get up every day anddo to ajob that I enjoy, and know that I am helping people." To be able to select the right home for a couple or help determine the best price for someone to sell their home is a valuable service. InMarch of 2005,Amanda was approved by the North Carolina Appraisal Board to become a Residential Appraisal Prelicensing Course Instructor. On February 4, 2006 she married Jason Rivera at oceanside ceremony at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico.They liveat Lake Royale full time. Jason owns and operates Lakeside, Inc, a full service boat house building company. Since he works and lives at the lake this gives them the perfect opportunity to enjoy lakeside living but also be able to maintain successful businesses. On September 27, 2006, they welcomed their first child, Joshua.On March 15, 2008, they had a daughter this time, Megan.
