Very detail-oriented and driven, follows standard operating procedures when using specific concentrations and handling multiple chemicals. Qualitatively determined absorbance spectra of unknown compounds. Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis on compounds using various electronic measuring systems (Ocean Optics, Spectronic 20, Abbe refractometer). Used IR spectroscopy to determine the composition of different compounds along with identifying unknown compounds. Performed many volumetric and gravimetric analyses to determine percentages and concentrations of components in unknown mixtures. (ie: titrations, transfer pipetting, using analytical balances, drying to a constant weight). Worked on statistical analyses by extracting, maintaining and recording all measurements and observations, and presented the data in a clear, concise and appropriate form (ie: spreadsheets, graphical, regressions, reports). Operated under a clean working environment and disposed of any hazardous chemicals properly. Tested the purification of multiple water samples using spectrophotometric techniques.
