Vehicle Drivetrain With Secondary Clutch

View page
US Patent:
7470215, Dec 30, 2008
Filed:
Mar 29, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/392139
Inventors:
Bud Maimone - Poland OH, US
Alexis Uspenski - Rock Creek OH, US
Assignee:
Cobra Motorcycle Mfg., Inc. - Hillsdale MI
International Classification:
B60W 10/02
US Classification:
477175, 477 74, 477 84, 477 91
Abstract:
A drivetrain including a primary clutch and a secondary clutch is well-suited for use in a single-speed vehicle. The primary clutch may be automatically-engaging or manually-engaging. The secondary clutch, preferably, is normally engaged and is configured to disengage, or slip, at a threshold torque level. Desirably, the slip torque level of the secondary clutch is configured to be greater than the peak engine torque of the vehicle such that disengagement of the secondary clutch due to engine-supplied torque does not occur. In some arrangements, the slip torque level may be significantly higher than the maximum engine torque,.

Endoscopic Device

US Patent:
8343168, Jan 1, 2013
Filed:
Jan 29, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/021903
Inventors:
Christopher J. Kaye - Concord OH, US
K. Randall John - Chardon OH, US
Alexis Uspenski - Rock Creek OH, US
Assignee:
US Endoscopy Group, Inc. - Mentor OH
International Classification:
A61B 17/24
A61B 17/26
US Classification:
606110, 600104
Abstract:
A medical device having a member with a lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end of the member is disclosed. The lumen has a device portion defined by at least one curved walled portion and at least one anchoring portion. An endoscopic device, such as a needle, is attached to an actuator inserted into the device portion of the lumen. A housing or stop is inserted into the distal end of the lumen.

Tea Steeping Assembly

View page
US Patent:
20120174795, Jul 12, 2012
Filed:
Mar 29, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/065825
Inventors:
Maria Uspenski - Boulder CO, US
Alexis Uspenski - Rock Creek OH, US
International Classification:
A47G 19/14
US Classification:
99323
Abstract:
A system and process for steeping tea in a vessel is disclosed. The present invention incorporates the use of an infusing filter seated on or within a vessel and a lid or retaining mechanism to steep tea in water. The vessel has an retaining ledge that supports a mating infuser placed inside. The infuser seats in a stationery position on the mating ledge inside the vessel, offset from the center of the vessel, to allow for stirring, pouring or drinking of the resulting beverage without introducing the infusible material into the resulting steeped beverage product. The infuser comprises a filter element that holds the infusible material and allows contact with the water. The infusing filter is retained in its seated position in the cup, ether by a lid or positive locking mechanism that allows for the safe and convenient portage of the tea steeping assembly. The tea steeping assembly introduces a system that has the ability to produce a beverage product in a process that is entirely biodegradable and compostable.

Wide Band Antenna Having Unitary Radiator/Ground Plane

View page
US Patent:
61338834, Oct 17, 2000
Filed:
Nov 16, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/441529
Inventors:
Robert Eugene Munson - Boulder CO
Randy Cecil Bancroft - Denver CO
Blaine Rexel Bateman - Louisville CO
Joseph Theofil Negler - Boulder CO
Alexis Uspenski - Boulder CO
Edward Earl Ward - Boulder CO
Assignee:
Xertex Technologies, Inc. - Broomfield CO
International Classification:
H01Q 138
US Classification:
343700MS
Abstract:
An antenna is formed from a single sheet of generally planar metal that is cut to provide four geometric antenna shapes that comprise a ground plane element, a two-section shorting element that is defined by two generally parallel fold lines, a radiating element, and an arm that has one end fixed to a generally central portion of the radiating element and has a free end that extends toward a fold line. Folding the metal sheet on the two fold lines positions the radiating element above the ground plane element. A transmit/receive coaxial cable is aligned with a gap that is formed between the two sections of the shorting element. The cable's outer metal sheath is connected to a metal tab, and the metal tab is secured to a surface of the ground plane element. The cable's center conductor is secured to a surface of the radiating element. A radome and its mounting tab complete the antenna assembly.

Inventors:
- Mentor OH, US
Eric Roush - Cleveland Heights OH, US
Alexis Uspenski - Rock Creek OH, US
John P. Winstanley - Madison OH, US
International Classification:
A61B 10/06
A61B 17/29
A61B 17/00
A61B 17/28
Abstract:
A forceps device includes forceps deployable through a needle. In one embodiment, both jaws of the forceps are movable with respect to each other, and their movement is controlled by a box slider. In another embodiment, one jaw is fixed and the other jaw is movable. In one embodiment the jaws include teeth that increase in length from the proximal end of the jaws to the distal end of the jaws. In a further embodiment, suction may be achieved through the needle when the forceps are removed.
