Apparatus, Method, And Program Product For Operating A Camera Sense Mode

View page
US Patent:
20220182544, Jun 9, 2022
Filed:
Dec 8, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/115623
Inventors:
- New Tech Park, SG
Adam Jerome Cavenaugh - Cary NC, US
Brian Lee - Raleigh NC, US
Joseph M. Pennisi - Apex NC, US
International Classification:
H04N 5/232
Abstract:
Apparatuses, methods, and program products are disclosed for operating a camera sense mode. One apparatus includes a processor, a camera, and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code is executable by the processor to determine, by use of the processor, whether the camera is set to a camera sense mode. The camera sense mode is a mode of the camera configured to use the camera as a sensor. The code is executable by the processor to, in response to the camera being set to the camera sense mode: analyze images captured by the camera, using a sensing application, to determine information related to the images; and inhibit applications separate from the sensing application from accessing images captured by the camera.

View page
US Patent:
20210266734, Aug 26, 2021
Filed:
Feb 25, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/800879
Inventors:
- New Tech Park, SG
Kenneth Seethaler - Raleigh NC, US
Adam Jerome Cavenaugh - Cary NC, US
International Classification:
H04W 12/02
G06F 21/32
G06F 21/84
G06K 9/00
H04W 12/00
Abstract:
Apparatuses, methods, systems, and program products are disclosed for obscuring application windows based on user security permissions. An apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code is executable by the processor to identify a user who is within a field of view of the camera relative to the display, determine one or more security permissions for the user in response to identifying the user, and obscure one or more application windows that are visible on the display that are not compliant with the user's one or more security permissions.
