Abstract:
Two embodiments of a foldable cover for protecting the occupant of a wheelchair or other wheeled vehicle is described. The foldable cover includes a frame having two sections, a back section and a top section cantileverable from the back section over the normal space provided for an occupant. A mounting bar for rigidly mounting the back section and, hence, the remainder of the foldable cover is provided with both embodiments. The back section is pivotally connected to the mounting bar for pivoting movement between a stowed position in which such cover is out of the way of the occupant in a protected position in which it and the cantilevered top section cooperate to cover the occupant.

Abstract:
A telephone voice containment device is described. It includes a housing which is shaped to receive a voice pick-up mechanism of a telephone in order to capture the voice utterances to be picked up by such phone, and at the same time prevent the voice utterances from escaping to the area surrounding the telephone. An elastic band is included to hold the telephone casing and, hence, its pick-up mechanism in the housing. A sound absorbing structure is most desirably included within the housing to absorb voice utterances not needed by the telephone pick-up mechanism.

Abstract:
A work cubicle cover is described, designed to be positioned between one or more light fixtures providing room lighting in a human work space defined by a cubicle in the room. The cover is made up of a pliable sheet of mesh screen held in position over the work cubicle by the interaction of a spring wire construction which provides its support with the partitions defining individual cubicles in the room. The spring wire construction enables the work cubicle cover to be coiled when not in use.

A portable and deployable cover configured to allow overhead protection to a user and a personal transport device is disclosed. Abstract:
The device consists of a pair of semicircular, transparent sheets of resilient plastic material, one of the sheets having molded on one surface a series of pegs which are insertable through the mesh of the screening. The other sheet has a corresponding pattern of holes to receive the pegs such that the two semicircular sheets can be secured together with a portion of screening between them in sandwich fashion. The device is used to reinforce and protect the mesh screening adjacent to the handle of a screen door so that bulging or accidental puncturing of the screening is avoided.
